Qualified in 2009 as a veterinary nurse, I quickly saw the gaps in animal compassion and strived to be better, do more and highlight areas that needed more care and attention. I started my own political campaign against the pit bull ban and became an award winner for outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession and another for my animal welfare work. I then started my journey towards animal rights, rescues, and direct action. After rescues and seeing how much care they needed, I started to rehabilitate birds privately and quickly saw that there are such basic options offered to them (labeled as production animals) compared with companion animals. Their value was so little, this had to change. I am now launching my own services to help reduce the suffering of animals known as "Dorothy`s Revolution". I am also an animal care advisor for The Save Movement.
