Sara Alli Majid Abad

Sara Alli Majid AbadSara Alli Majid Abad has been pursuing animal advocacy and queer-feminist activism for some time, especially by sharing their poetry on Hamburg's poetry slam stages. Writing their bachelor's thesis in political science about the representation of nonhuman animals and organizing tutorials at the University of Hamburg on this topic enabled Sara to discuss distinct concepts of political theory. However, thinking about how we can institutionally represent the interests of nonhuman animals is a scientific niche in political theory with growing reach. Sara wishes to contribute to this growing movement by sharing knowledge about what it means to represent nonhuman animals. In particular, their inquiry into the interrelated political and epistemic exclusion of nonhuman animals needs further consideration in political theory and the public.
