Melanie Challenger

Melanie ChallengerMelanie Challenger is a writer, broadcaster, and researcher across environmental history, philosophy of biology, and bioethics. She has served as deputy chair of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics, a vice president of the RSPCA, and a founding member of the Animals in the Room project. Melanie is the author of "How to Be Animal: What it means to be human" (2021) and "Animal Dignity: Philosophical Reflections on Nonhuman Existence" (2023). She hosts the podcast "The Psychosphere", on diverse intelligences in nature.
