Daniel was once a devoted meat lover—until he watched iAnimal by Animal Equality. In a matter of seconds, everything changed. He instantly realized that it wasn't enough to simply remove animal products from his diet; he also had to stand up for the animals themselves. From that moment on, animal rights activism became a central part of his life.
After becoming involved in various animal rights groups, Daniel co-founded the animal rights association akTIERismus in Marburg, Germany. In the early days, Cubes of Truth were the preferred form of activism, but over time, the approach became more diverse. Today, akTIERismus embraces a broader range of activist strategies to create meaningful change.
Beyond his activism, Daniel finds joy in hammocks, kayaking, and simply being in nature. He shares a flat with Hannes, who is also a speaker at the conference. And though his beloved dog Jack passed away last year, Daniel is still deeply in love with him—because, let's be honest, Jack will always be the best dog who ever lived (sorry to all other dogs).
