Christine Leidner is a public affairs professional with a legal background in international and European law, with a specialized degree in animal law. She focuses on agriculture and food issues, as well as the defense of the rights of human and non-human animals. Since 2018, she has been working at the European Parliament in Brussels, where she integrates the abolitionist vegan approach wherever possible, namely during the two years assisting the Chair of the first-ever European Parliament committee, which focussed exclusively on animals, an inquiry committee on the protection of animals during transport. She lives with two lovely cats and dreams of opening a sanctuary one day.
