Ben Hunt
Dr. Ben Hunt is a performance artist, activist, and researcher whose work explores the intersections of theatre, trauma, and animal rights. He recently completed a PhD in Performance Studies at De Montfort University, where his research focused on the role of performance in bearing witness to nonhuman suffering and disrupting dominant anthropocentric narratives. His practice-based projects span endurance-based installations, interspecies dramaturgies, and digital activism, and he has presented work across both academic and grassroots spaces. Ben is committed to exploring how creative practice can act as a form of direct action, cultivating interspecies empathy and reimagining advocacy beyond traditional protest frameworks.
