Sole Iriart

Sole Iriart has been involved in animal liberation activism since the mid-90s when she moved from Spain to the UK and learned about veganism and the exploitation of animals. She began her activism by protesting against Huntingdon Life Science, the largest animal contract laboratory in the UK, and against farms breeding animals for vivisection. She has also been involved in campaigns against fur and greyhound racing, and has been active as a hunt saboteur, cat rescuer, and investigator. She has served as a trustee member for Freedom for Animals, a charity dedicated to ending the captivity of wild animals in zoos, aquariums, circuses, and other facilities. Since the summer of 2021, she has been a key participant in Camp Beagle, a protest camp outside MBR Acres, an industrial beagle breeder in the UK, and she is one of the campaign's spokespersons.
