Philip Kratz

Philip Kratz is a PhD student at the University of Santiago de Compostela. His thesis explores the neglected area of wild animal welfare science in the context of climate change. Alongside his research, he frequently writes spotlight articles on compassionate conservation for Verify Humanity, covering wildlife issues in the UK. Since being a mentee at Sentient Futures, he and a project partner are investigating how AI can help mitigate diseases in the wild. He also previously provided mentorship for the Electric Sheep Futurekind Fellowship and will join the Sentient Futures Fall Incubator as a mentor with the goal of bringing risks and chances of AIxAnimals to German-speaking audiences.
