A collaborative workshop for animal advocates on resilience, change, and hope

This workshop is designed for animal rights advocates who want to deepen their impact and engage more effectively in creating change for animals. Inspired by our animal rights podcast (www.tierrechtspodcast.de), the workshop brings together insights, experiences, and strategies from activists, educators, artists, and changemakers who are actively working toward ending the exploitation of animals.

Participants can expect thoughtful discussions focused on effective advocacy, sustainable activism, and the many different pathways through which meaningful change can be achieved. Rather than debating ethical fundamentals, this workshop centers on a key question: How can we create change regarding individual and collective strategies?

Whether you are new to animal rights or have been active for years, this workshop invites you to reflect, exchange ideas, talk about your experiences, and make conscious decisions about how you want to contribute. We aim to connect people in the animal rights movement to share experiences and perspectives. Ultimately, this workshop aims to support you in finding your own effective and sustainable way of advocating for animals grounded in empathy, clarity, and a vision for meaningful change.

A core element of the workshop will be three themed discussion tables, where participants can collaboratively explore key questions and share experiences. The results or key points of the discussion tables will be shared with the whole group.

  1. Strategies regarding personal resilience and challenges
Exchange on individual strategies for maintaining resilience, navigating emotional and practical difficulties, and sustaining long-term engagement.
  2. Effective strategies within organizations and movements
Exchange on different approaches, structures, and practices that strengthen collective impact and effectiveness.
  3. Strategies for future(s) of the movement
Exchange on possible strategies for resilient and sustainable futures regarding the direction of the animal rights movement.

At the end of the session, key insights and outcomes from each discussion table will be shared with the entire group, fostering collective learning and enabling participants to benefit from the full range of perspectives.
