Sharisse Kanet
Sharisse Kanet is an assistant professor at Worcester State University. She received her Ph.D. from the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research interest is primarily in animal law and the inability of the U.S. legal system to accommodate sentient non-persons. She also does research in Eastern philosophies and is currently working on developing a conceptual framework for Taoist bioethics. When not teaching and writing, Sharisse prefers to be upside-down, either training in aerial dance or gymnastics.
