Max Watson

Max WatsonI am a UK activist that became a hunt saboteur in 1989, to then carrying out my first Animal Liberation Front (ALF) action that same year. I became heavily involved in the ALF in 1991, which ultimately concluded with my arrest and being put on a conspiracy trial with nine other people when I received a 3-year prison sentence. For many decades I have campaigned and organized against animal abuse. I helped run Manchester Animal Protection in the late '90s and co-founded the Huntingdon Death Sciences Campaign before SHAC. I was part of the Animals Betrayed Coalition, the 3rd hunger strike support campaign for Barry Horne's 68-day hunger strike in 1998. More recently, I have returned to being a hunt sab, with the rise in hunt violence, supporting the Free the MBR Beagles and Camp Beagle, along with hosting the YouTube channel Animal Liberation TV. I am a strong advocate for direct action.
