Lena Ella is a full-time animal liberation activist. She has advocated for animals since 1995, when she – at the age of 10 – wrote a letter to McDonald's CEO complaining about the food chain's horrific animal abuse and deforestation practices in the rainforest.
After studying Sociology at the University of Vienna, she traveled for many years for
Animal Save Movement, going on activism tours, helping to start new chapters, and building a loving community of animal rights activists abroad.
In addition to being the Country Liaison for Animal Save Movement Germany for seven years, she recently became the German and Austrian Coordinator of the worldwide
Plant Based Treaty Campaign.
Lena Ella is best known for her insights on entering and filming inside slaughterhouses and on kill floors through the power of love-based activism and kind perseverance.
The horrific experiences of having witnessed the murder of animals in front of her own eyes time and time again, as well as doing intense investigation work on farms, made her a passionate speaker on animal rights and an advocate of the necessity of self-care and compassionate kindness in our movement.
