I am Lesley Fleuren from the Netherlands. I have participated in animal rights activism for about 3.5 years now. During a snorkeling holiday in Egypt in 2018, I saw the gorgeous underwater world and felt sorry that I didn`t advocate for fishes. I silently promised I would pick up the fight for them, but there were hardly any events I could join. So my husband and I now reach out to activists, organizations , and any person who claims to love nature or animals. We encourage people to protect and advocate for fishes and ocean life. We show the public what fishes look like in their natural habitat by sharing experiences from our snorkeling trips. For everything we do for fishes we use the name Vissenbelangen, which literally translates to "fishes` interests".
