Act now for fishes
Lesley Fleuren

Last year, I presented at the International Animal Rights Conference to inspire you to include fishes in your activism. This year we dive deeper into the plights of fishes. Besides fisheries and aquaculture, fishes are used for recreational fishing, as pets, in zoos, sea life centers, and animal testing. On top of that, fishes in the wild face a lot of problems because of human activity. For example: migrating fishes face many obstacles like dams, barrages, and locks; we pollute rivers and oceans with plastics and chemicals; and they also face the consequences of climate change. Fishes need our help. Not eating them is a good start, but there is more that needs to be done.

This is an online presentation which will be implemented using Zoom Webinar. In order to partipate in the presentation and also contribute to the Q&A at the end of the presentation, you will need to register at the following link. This registration will not result in a Zoom account being created – you will only be registered as a participant of this specific online presentation.
