Inga Laube

Inga Laube

After watching the Earthlings documentary in early 2016, Inga turned vegan "cold-turkey" and jumped directly into animal rights activism by vegan leafleting for the Albert Schweitzer Foundation, dressed up in a cow costume. Shortly after, she joined the Hamburg chapter of the foundation and immediately became part of the leading team together with Caroline von Schwerin and Markus Böhning.

In 2018, she co-founded the Tierrechtsaktivistenbündnis (Animal Rights Activists Alliance) and ever since puts almost every minute of spare time into the organization of large animal rights demonstrations and is responsible for the social media presence and public relations of the alliance. Their goal is to unite the diverse animal rights organizations in Germany (and beyond) in order to mobilize large numbers of activists for animal rights demonstrations that can no longer be ignored by society, media and the government. Their first success was their "Hand in hand for animal rights" ("Hand in Hand für Tierrechte") event in Hamburg in October 2018 with more than 3000 participants. The four activists are currently busy organizing this year`s Official Animal Rights March in Berlin on August 25.

Her social media skills have led her to the organization team of the annual Vegan Street Festival Hamburg. Besides her activism, Inga is also mother of an almost two year old healthy vegan toddler, is knowledgeable about vegan pregnancies and complementary feeding and tries to veganize other moms and toddlers one playdate at a time.
