Giovana Poker is a lawyer, graduated in law from the University Center Euripedes de Marília, postgraduate in criminal law and is coursing masters degree with research about animal rights, human rights and social movements. She has in-depth studies in the field of philosophy of law and animal rights since 2012. Giovana has published articles and highlighted works in the area of animal dignity and veganism. She holds lectures and debates in Brazilian universities about the recognition of animal rights in Brazil and in the world. Also, Giovana is the founder of the first vegan restaurant in Marilia city and region, where she lives. As an activist, has been helping animal protection NGOs carry out rescues and fund-raising since 2010.
