Becoming a vet: Education and training without animal experiments
Nick Jukes

This film is a beta version and special showing of the international documentary being made by InterNICHE. While focusing on how to train to be an animal doctor in a fully humane way, it offers a broad and fascinating look at innovative methods in education – everything from synthetic animal cadavers and virtual reality software to the ethics of animal body donation programs. It features pioneers from the animal rights movement, and addresses student conscientious objection, asserting the importance of critical thinking, empathy and compassion. The film will be followed by questions and answers with InterNICHE Co-ordinator Nick Jukes.
