I have been a hunt saboteur for a number of years and prior to that volunteered as a wildlife rescuer/carer for sick and injured foxes. I have given many talks on animal rights and philosophy to both children and adults and am a regular contributor to a blog on Animal Politics – `Uproar`.
My background is in Law and Philosophy. I practised as a commercial litigator for a number of years before obtaining a Master`s Degree in Medical Law and Ethics from King`s College London and a Ph.D in Metaphysics from University of Kent at Canterbury. My view on animal rights is very much shaped by what I see as the wider question of how we are going to live in the world. And I believe that any meaningful answer to that question necessitates major political change.
