Last year two pigs, eight hens, and one fish were freed from captivity in Sweden by the direct action group Empty Cages. When they had taken the animals to loving homes they called the police and told them what they had done. Martin Smedjeback tells about his experiences of how it was to use the method of open rescue for animal rights.
