With the Plant Based Treaty campaign, we've created a positive and solution-based form of activism. While the campaign focuses on calling on governments to shift to a plant-based food system, the actions where we collect the signatures are organized locally and meant to give something back to the community. We build community gardens, organize food or seed giveaways and give workshops on a variety of topics. We created a sustainable form of activism that allows organizers to get creative with their actions and connect to the public in a positive way. Creating this bottom-up pressure has led big cities like Los Angeles and Edinburg to endorse the PBT.
