Towards radical praxis
collective workshopping how antispeciesism can join and catalyse intersectional direct action at the convergence of anti-oppression struggles

Following David Graeber: "Direction action is, ultimately, the defiant insistence on acting as if one is already free" - but how precisely do we do this as humans? Even more so as humans engaged in ending the oppression of animals other than humans? This workshop encourages discussion around the strengths and necessity of direct action for animal liberation, its limitations and its rootedness in anarchist theory, to stimulate our ideas about how we can decondition ourselves from speciesism and other oppressions; why we should, and how we can "live anarchically" as antispeciesists. It provides a space for idea-generation around working toward animal liberation as "true" accomplices with animals other than humans and as accomplices "intersectionally" with the panoply of other anti-oppression struggles.
