In Sweden, we are known as "Veganfamiljen" – The Vegan Family – sharing our life and activism on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. We want to inspire other parents and kids to a vegan lifestyle and send the message that it is not only possible but delicious and deeply meaningful to live vegan. But as any parent knows, having young kids has its fair share of challenges. And being vegan in a non-vegan world can be tough at any age, perhaps especially growing up and trying to fit in. Finding the time for activism is not easy juggling work, dishes, washing, cooking, and taking care of the children. I will talk honestly about the joys, challenges, and opportunities of being an animal rights active vegan family.
