Katya Burns

Katya BurnsKatya Burns is a political scientist, human rights advocate and independent consultant in public health to the United Nations, bi-lateral governmental donors, and international NGOs. She is also a strong proponent of animals rights and a vegan of over 20 years. Katya holds a Ph.D. in Political Economy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has spent over 15 years living and working on public health and human rights in Asia and Africa, and speaks French, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. She is currently the recipient of a research grant from the Culture and Animals Foundation, on Introducing Animals` Rights into Global Development Strategies.
