Veterinarians can be leaders in the animal rights movement
Travis Strong, DVM MS DACVO

Veterinarians can and should be leaders in the animal rights movement. We dedicate our lives to helping animals, and as a profession we should be more ethically consistent in our perception and treatment of all animals. This talk addresses the vast potential veterinarians have in being leaders in the animal advocacy movement. I will discuss the need for animal advocates to enter the veterinary profession as a means to achieve this change. I will also comment on how volunteerism in the veterinary field can help both animal sanctuaries and the veterinarians themselves.
