Simon Anhut started his activism for animal rights by campaigning against animal experiments. He became co-founder of the German animal rights group VENGA and is now also working as a coordinator for Animal Rights Watch (ARIWA). As a psychologist and student of educational sciences, he is especially interested in effective strategies to promote animal rights and has been shifting his focus towards youth education programs covering environmental topics and animal rights, such as holiday programs for kids or the newly developed school program "Monokulturen, Mastanlagen, Mahlzeit" (monocultures, factory farms, meals). When he is not trying out various ways of giving a broad audience an understanding of the animal rights idea, he is probably working on inventing new ones.
