Martin Smedjeback is a longtime animal advocate and nonviolence trainer. He works full-time for animal rights in his crowdfunded project A year for the animals. In his work he holds presentations, facilitates workshops, does open rescues of animals, campaigns for animal rights, takes photos and shoots videos. He has also worked for more than a decade in the peace movement, mainly resisting the Swedish weapons export. He holds a bachelor`s degree in psychology from the University of Lund in Sweden.
