In August 2015, the Swedish direct action group Empty Cages rescued two pigs, eight hens and one fish from farms around Sweden. This film will give you an insight to what really happened before, during and after the actions. How do the police react when someone calls and turns themselves in for rescuing animals? What is a mother`s thoughts about ending up in jail for animal rights? The motivations and ideologies of the activists are told through the speeches defending their actions in trial. The documentary (36 minutes) is followed by a short Q&A with Martin Smedjeback who is a part of the action group Empty Cages.
