Over the past 20 years I have filmed inside dozens and dozens of factory farms, yet I never cease to be shocked and ashamed by what I find in these vast windowless buildings deliberately hidden from public view. While most people have a general idea of the grisly and bloody fate animals endure inside slaughterhouses, few give much thought to how animals raised and killed for food live.

Animal Equality believes people have the right to know what happens in modern farms. But more than this, we believe that exposing the unimaginably cruel practices that take place inside factory farms is the key to changing people`s diets as most people are unaware of just how mechanized and industrialized modern farming is.

This talk will detail the shocking yet routine practices on intensive pig and poultry farms in the hope that activists will use this knowledge to alert others to the misery and pain farmed animals endure for weeks, months or even years before they meet their bloody end.
