Lessons learned: Looking back to move forward
Jake Conroy

The 1990`s saw a surge of strong, radical grassroots activism in the United States and around the globe, culminating in one of the most successful campaigns in the history of the animal rights movement - Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) and the campaign to close Huntingdon Life Sciences. By taking a look back at over the past two decades of activism and personal stories, learning how we achieved those successes and what challenges kept us from continuing on, there is hope that a more strategic and successful movement is still possible.
