Can reformism be a strategy for abolitionism?
Emil Franzinelli, Heiko Weber

Since several presentations at the conference will include or even focus on the effectiveness of reformist vs. abolitionist animal rights work, it is important that we come to a common understanding, what is meant by "reformism" and "abolitionism". Recent publications and presentations have shown a blurring of these two strategies, similar like animal rights and animal welfare have been blurred. In this discussion an introduction will be given and then hopefully a lively and constructive discussion will provide a basis which will put the following presentations about reformism and abolitionism on a more stable ground.
