This presentation will cover various abuses taking place in the food industry, going beyond non-human animals to include farm workers, slavery, the global problem of access to healthy foods in communities of color and low-income communities, and environmental racism — systems that work to oppress those who are viewed as having little or no power. It will call upon animal rights activists to do more than just talk about it, but act on it.
