Jan-Harm de Villiers is a legal philosopher and lecturer in the School of Law at the University of South Africa. He holds BComm (Law) (cum laude) and LLB (cum laude) degrees from the University of Pretoria and is currently in the final stages of completing his Mater`s dissertation in critical legal studies and animal ethics. He has been published in accredited journals, presented papers on animal ethics at both national and international conferences, and is also actively involved in the field of social activism.
