Kastriot Korro

Prof. Assoc. Dr. Kastriot Korro has been working in the protection of wild animals in Albania for 30 years and is the Senior of the Bee, Zoo & Wildlife Medicine subject at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural University of Tirana. In 2016, he won the award for Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia & Europe. The award was granted by the World Anti-Rabies Alliance and MSD Animal Health. He is the publisher of over 50 scientific articles in national and international magazines for the protection of wild animals. He has been the leader of over 30 national and international projects in the protection of wild animals. It is the Albania Focal Point for Wildlife near WOAH (World Organization Animal Health). He is the winner of Albanian Excellence for 2011 and is a board member of several international organizations for the protection of wild animals. He was the Vice Dean for Scientific Research at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and a member of the Senate of the Agricultural University of Tirana from 2016 to 2020.
