Dilyana Filipova holds a Ph.D. in genetics from the University of Cologne, Germany. During her research, she was confronted with the cruelty and futility of animal experimentation. Since 2019, she has been working as a scientific officer at the German NGO Doctors Against Animal Experiments (DAAE), a member of the European umbrella organization ECEAE (European Coalition to End Animal Experiments). As an expert in human-based technologies, she is directly involved in reviewing and promoting innovative non-animal technologies (NATs) from a broad spectrum of biomedical disciplines and establishing the bilingual NAT Database. Dilyana Filipova has presented the advantages of non-animal technologies for multiple topics at numerous international scientific conferences.
