Evelien Devriese

From an early age, Evelien felt a deep connection with animals. Her journey began with rescuing sea creatures as a child and saving her first chicken at 13 – an experience that set her lifelong mission into motion.

After years of feeling disconnected, she rediscovered her purpose when she founded Daisyfields Animal Sanctuary in 2022, the only dedicated farm animal sanctuary in West Flanders, Belgium. Since then, Daisyfields have rescued more than 250 animals and reached thousands of people with a message of empathy, compassion, and hope. Daisyfields is more than a sanctuary; it is a center for renewing interspecies relationships and a community home where every person is welcome. Through Evelienâ��s lectures, she shares what these incredible animals have taught her about care, trauma, resilience, connection, and healing – reminding us that when we care for animals, we also find parts of ourselves.
