Lea Schwensow

Starting out as a local grassroots activist before expanding into international advocacy, Lea now serves as Director of Activism in Europe at the Animal Activism Collective (AAC). There, they bring new activists into the movement through AAC's mentorship program and support the launch of local groups across Europe. Building on AAC's proven impact in the US, this global network has achieved hundreds of victories for animals, including persuading over 100 restaurants to adopt foie gras-free policies. AAC activists have also contributed to major wins against luxury fashion brands by pressuring them to go fur-free, as well as influencing some of the world's largest companies to adopt landmark animal welfare policies. Driven by a passion for movement building, Lea also recently launched the ASA-Project, an initiative focused on strategic networking and bridging gaps within the German animal advocacy scene.
