Stijn Bruers has a PhD in physics, a PhD in moral philosophy and currently works as an economist at the university of Leuven. Stijn published several books about environmental ethics and animal rights ("Born Free and Equal", ...). He was the first Belgian crew member to join Sea Shepherd in the Antarctica whale defense campaign, he co-founded Effective Altruism Belgium and remains active in a lot of organizations such as Bite Back.
