Francesco Cortonesi teaches literature and creative writing at school and in prison. For years she has been an anti-speciesist activist for the Rete dei Santuari and for Zoout, a project that deals with animals kept in zoos. He has edited numerous reports on the imprisonment of human and non-human animals.
