Viktor Gebhart (born 1985 in Munich) is a full-time vegan animal rights activist and managing director of the German NGO ANIMALS UNITED e.V. He holds degrees from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the Technical University of Munich. While studying to become a teacher, he`s been focusing on human rights, environmental protection and animal rights, being active with several organizations, running for local and national political offices and founding the vegan fair trade and eco fashion label FAIRSTYLED. After graduating from university, he worked as a teacher, before getting hired by the world`s biggest animal rights organization as a coordinator for their kids and youth campaign. Since 2014 he has been working as managing director for ANIMALS UNITED e.V., a German animal rights NGO, best known for their anti-fur campaign (#LabelTod), their fight against the illegal dog killings in Romania (#ProjectRomania), their huge protests against animals in circusses (#CircusOHNE) as well as their spectacular liberation of the last German circus bear "Ben" (#FreeBen). Viktor has given several speeches all over Germany, Switzerland, Romania and in the European Parliament. He shot undercover in a couple of European countries as well as Brazil, led several huge protests, writes animal rights articles for German newspapers, has given many theoretical and practical coachings for activists and volunteers and regularly teaches children and grown-ups about animal rights. Viktor`s guiding principle is: "If you want to move something, get up and move yourself".
