Our history is full of successful and failed movements. No one is identical to the animal rights movement, but wouldn't we be fools if we didn't try to learn from those who went before us? The anti-slavery, civil rights, peace, feminist, LGBT, and climate movements all have a lot to teach us about how to wage a successful struggle against oppression and about potential pitfalls to avoid.
