First, we`ll give a brief introduction of animal rights situation and campaigns in China (legislative process, direct action, life care education, etc.). And then we`ll focus on the role of student groups (importance and challenges). Among university students, we promote animal rights (veganism) issues both theoretically and practically. Understanding veganism as a multi-issue movement, the reading clubs, talks and lectures we organize provide students many ways to examine veganism. We have succeeded in proposing a vegan stall in the canteen, and now we are working on a proposal to replace some animal experiments in labs.
