Richard Klinsmeister is a Swedish long-term animal rights activist who has been active in, and leading many campaigns, especially against the fur industry and animal testing.
He is known for having been part of the most militant animal rights cell ever in Sweden and perhaps Europe: Animal Rights Militia. This group is the only known group that doesn`t renounce the use of violence or weapons in the fight against speciesism.
He was put in prison for 19 different crimes against the fur industry. Among others for arson, aggravated unlawful coercion and threats. He still advocates direct action today.
Today, Richard works with his non-profit animal shelter called the Black Sheep and prisoner support for animal rights activists.
