Bettina has been a vegan for more than 20 years and started to be active in the animal rights movement 17 years ago. Currently, she is member of the board of the German animal rights group Animal Rights Watch. She was involved in founding the "Sag Nein zu Milch" ("Say No to Milk") campaign in Germany and takes part in the organization of the Vegan Street Day in Dortmund which is one of the biggest vegan street festivals
in Germany.
