Over the past 17 years, I`ve worked with a range of environmental organizations engaged with policy and campaigning.
At university, my time was split between two faculties. Half my time was spent in the production suites with a brilliant Tanzanian film-maker. The rest of the time was spent talking philosophy and politics in the sustainability department.
My interest in inclusive language was perhaps inspired by time spent helping out at a permaculture community garden here in Perth, Australia. To save their site, we welcomed stakeholders with open arms and free lunches. This gracious attitude is one I have endeavored to take into every conversation since.
