The way out of the blind alley of animal research-orientated medicine
A vegetarian or vegan diet as a contribution against animal experiments
Silke Bitz

Background information about animal experimentation is given and demonstrated that so-called "animal-models" not only are ethical unacceptable but also scientifically the wrong way, e.g. regarding the understanding and cure of human diseases. Science has clearly demonstrated the health benefits of a vegetarian or vegan diet. Immense research effort is done to simulate human diseases in animals, the results however are empty promises and no breakthroughs. Vivisection based research cannot tackle the tasks it faces. A shift in our lifestyle would help lead medicine out of the blind alley of vivisection towards an effective, ethical, patient orientated medicine and thus saves animal lives directly.
